Worthless Degrees

I find that more often than not people without a college degree value these pieces of paper more than people with the degree. After receiving a bachelor's degree and then a master's degree I put less emphasis on their importance. Rush Limbaugh said that he quit college in order to pursue his dreams. Dr. Drew routinely reminds his audience that the "A" students teach the "B" students and the "B" students work for the "C" students. College is an environment for learning how to work for somebody else. I didn't realize this until after I started my own business. I've learned more in the last three months through creating my business than I did through all six years of school.

A person's income is so limited while working for someone else. The amount of money a person can make while running their own business can be infinite. Employers like employees with college degrees, which is the only value these four-year schools (www.ncaaland.com) are for. If you want to be rich you should just skip school and build your own business. You'll be four years ahead of everyone else and you won't have big student loans.

A lot of brainwashing occurs in universities due to the fact that 90% of college professors are liberal, which leaves the practical economics departments with the remaining 10% as conservatives. Business growth and greater levels of employment happen when taxes are low. High taxes discourage innovation and work and increases unemployment levels, which is why conservatives in government are always better for the economy.

Fewer taxes allows for greater prosperity. Countries with greater prosperity give more to charity. The myth that conservatism only benefits the rich is so demonstratively wrong on every level. This article was before the 2008 presidential election and it looks like Obama is going to win but I see a second McCain surge and pray that it is strong enough to put the Palin/McCain into the winner's circle. In my 29 years on planet earth I've paid attention to what older generations believe and how they vote. The older a person is the more likely they are to vote for conservatives. Whatever confusion I have about how I want to vote is resolved when I look to the wisdom of the elderly.

I hear a lot of people complaining about the cost of their college education and pay they receive when entering the workforce. Instead of demanding that taxpayers eat the bill for our education students should pay attention to the monetary value of that education. If the degree gets you a job that pays the same as a job that doesn't require a degree then maybe the degree isn't worth the price. And why should taxpayers pay for a worthless piece of paper?

A lot of these four-year college degrees are worthless in the real world and provide no monetary advantage. The people attracted to college are more often than not intellectual and would already be exploring their ideas and the history of these ideas. Those that are not intellectual tend to get molded in the beliefs of the biased professor.
