Timex Ironman: Time Tested
The Timex Ironman line of wristwatches is one of the most popular of timepieces available. One of the most useful models is the Shock, which happens to be solar-powered and thus very handy. This Timex Ironman is perhaps the leanest and meanest of all the makes ever made, not unlike an Altimeter Compass Watch. True, its lap-memory feature is only half that of something like the more expensive Triathlon, but it's a true Ironman all right, with the same sporty digital design as the rest of the family.

Like the Altimeter Compass Watch, the stainless steel bezels add to the professional look of one of these while fulfilling its primary task of marking and setting information. Timex Ironman watches are very macho-looking timepieces that are equally at home in the boardroom or the locker room, as the company likes to say. And indeed they have been very well-received in the marketplace since their debut, best embodying the company's old ad slogan "it takes a licking and keeps on ticking" with thick he-man chasses for sports and applications out-of-doors.
The company itself lives up to its old advertising motto, having been in the business of timepiece manufacturing since 1854. These timepieces are made by one of the most famous of American companies, with a proven track record as an industry leader, bringing to market one of the world's first digital watches ever in the 1970s or the first Mickey Mouse clock in the 1930s. These guys also make and market the popular electroluminescent lamps that have been providing backlighting for watches well over two decades.
Given this kind of experience and workmanship, these are a solid worker and a sure keeper. Indeed, this line carries on that tradition of design and technological innovation into the 21st Century. But everything is backed by a one-year warranty for good old-fashioned peace-of-mind reliability. History has shown us that stylish, hardy, multifunctional watches, at a low cost are always something people will be interested in. And why not, it's a combination history itself can't argue with.
