Sending Your Kids to Camp is the Ultimate Summer Activity
Summertime is every kid’s favorite time of year. No school, warm weather, lazy days and late nights …what could be more fun?
But even though kids are on school break, you may still want them to engage in safe and fun outdoor activities rather than letting them stay home to watch TV or play video games all day.
Have you considered sending them to summer camp?
Camp offers the ultimate experience in terms of fun summer activities for kids. At summer camp, your kids can participate in safe and fun activities while being supervised by mature camp counselors and who have your child’s best interests in mind.
One of the best things about camp is that there’s bound to be one that captures your child’s interests.
You can find beach camps, surf camps, day camps, overnight camps, cooking camps, photography camps, sports camps, religious camps, adventure camps, travel camps, traditional camps and so many others.
To find a popular camp in your area, simply ask your friends for a referral, or enter “summer camps” into Google and see what comes up. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at the variety of options available to you!
Certainly there’s no requirement to send your children to camp. But maybe there should be, because it’s a unique American pastime that dates back almost 150 years!
Not only do camps offer amazing summer activities for kids, but you can also expect your child to make new friends, learn more about themselves, increase his or her self-esteem and grow as a person through the camp experience.

Pack trips allow individuals of many ages and physical abilities to reach glorious backcountry they would never see otherwise. George Hatley has a deep connection to the region and its early pioneers. As a boy, he learned that his great uncle had been involved in the Misery Hill scrimmage of the Nez Perce war, and that the Native Americans were riding Appaloosas.
